Every case is assessed individually. The fee is determined by the complexity of the case, the number of legal systems involved and the work required to verify and complete the procedure correctly.
The factors that may affect the fee include, for example:
- the nationality and residence of the future spouses
- the legal system in which the marriage will take place
- marital status and any previous marriages
- divorces or other judgments issued abroad
- documentation to be obtained or reconstructed
- the number and nature of the formalities required by the competent authorities

After a preliminary review of the information provided, you will receive a written quotation setting out the work covered by the engagement and the related fee.
The initial assessment is free and without obligation. If, on the basis of the information available, the procedure appears straightforward enough to be handled independently, we will tell you clearly, without proposing assistance that is not necessary.
What the assistance covers
The activities covered by the engagement depend on the procedure and are set out in the quotation. By way of example, they may include:
Legal assessment of the case
Analysis of the personal circumstances and identification of the applicable requirements, the procedure to follow and the competent authorities.
Document plan
Identification of the documents required, the authorities or bodies from which to request them, how they should be obtained and the order of the formalities.
Review of documentation
Examination of the documentary requirements relating to certificates, apostilles, legalisations, translations and periods of validity, based on the requirements applicable to the procedure.
Drafting of applications and correspondence
Preparation of the documentation and communications required within the scope of the engagement, as well as assistance in dealings with the competent authorities.
Procedure coordination
Monitoring of the required formalities and keeping the client informed of relevant developments in the case.
What is not covered
Unless expressly stated in the quotation, the professional fee does not include:
- duties, taxes, stamps and other charges required by the authorities
- costs for certificates, apostilles, legalisations and consular services
- fees of translators, notaries, experts or other professionals instructed
- postage and courier costs for original documents
- any additional work requested by the client or made necessary by circumstances not envisaged in the initial engagement
- wedding or event planning services
Any additional work will be agreed with the client in advance.
